2025 OREGON R.O.M.P.

 South Willamette Valley ALR Chapters 10, 20, 51, 58, and 83 are working together to host the Oregon ROMP for 2025.

Thursday, July 10*

• Registration would open starting at noon at Albany Post 10.
• Welcome packets will be provided to each person registered. This should include a schedule of events, local points of interest, ride routes, and more. 
• Both the Lebanon and Albany Legion Posts should be open, as well as the Albany VFW – hours & info will be in the welcome packet

Friday, July 11***

• Albany Post 10 will be open for registration and breakfast* at 0830-1130.
• Afternoon ride(s) to local places of interest. Times and routes TBD
• Evening dinner at Lebanon Post 51*** Time & menu will be on registration.

 Saturday, July 12**

• Albany Post 10 will be open for registration and breakfast buffet** at 0800.-0945
• Jack Bailey Teddy Bear Run leaves by 1000.  This ride will be from Albany Post 10 down to Jasper Mountain Center, 37875 Jasper-Lowell Road Jasper, Oregon 97438  https://jaspermountain.org/

• The ride will continue on to Santa Clara Post #83 for the OR-ALR Business meeting, lunch & fun. Map
• Early evening we will ride back to Albany Post 10 for a taco bar dinner**, raffle & music by Robert & Jakob Lockwood (ALR #20 Dallas)

Sunday, July 13*

• Albany Post 10 will be open for a breakfast buffet* at 0800 – 1000 with Bingo starting at 1230, for anyone interested.
• Lebanon Post 51 opens at 0900*

Early Registration of $35 will include a t-shirt, event patch and steak dinner at Lebanon Post #51.  Deadline:  June 1.  Payment can be made by Zelle, check in the mail, or email and call in your debit/card information to Penny at (541) 510-7584.  Late registrations have no guarantee of shirt size or available patches.  The form should be available within the next few weeks.

The shirts will be short sleeved gray, designed and printed by Canyon Creations (Zoe Eyer ALR #58).  Additional shirts can be ordered on the registration form. 

One patch will be included with each registration.  Additional patches can be ordered on the registration form.

Dinner on Friday will be hosted by Lebanon Post #51 and will offer steak & seafood.  One ticket will be included with each registration.

There are about 15 local motels in Albany, Lebanon & Corvallis with rates ranging from $69 (not recommended) to $219.  Albany, Lebanon, Salem & Jefferson have RV parks.

Several chapters and individuals have donated $1,500 to bring the Wall of Honor to our Romp!  The City of Albany has offered the use of the pickleball court at Hackleman Park which will allow us to lock it up each night for security.  We’ll still need someone to keep an eye on the wall when it is closed, just to be on the safe side.  In order to have Vets Helping Vets HQ set up the wall we need to secure a four-sided tent to protect it from increment weather.  The wall can be set up in two ways which would require either a 50x60x12 or 40x70x12 which if rented could cost up to $3,000.  So, if anyone has contacts with the tribes, organizations that own this size of tent that would be willing to sponsor this project please let anyone on the committee know their contact information.
